Holiday Provision

For all enquiries, please contact Amy Vine (School Business Manager, Wrap Around Lead) on 07566790028 or avine@kingskerswell.devon.sch.uk

Registration

Please complete the form regarding contact information, consents and permissions. If you are a child of our school already, there are some questions you can skip as we will have that contact information already. For new parents/carers, we will need all the information on the form. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss anything further.

If you have already completed this form, you do not need to complete it again. I am happy to check if you send me an email. I do require this for every child who attends so if your child has already been, you will most likely have completed this form.

Drop off and collection

The gates will be held open so you will be able to come in and out with your vehicle to drop off and collect your child. This will be down our main drive and in through the main entrance. Please press the wrap-around buzzer (to the left as you walk in) and I will come up to collect your child and sign them in.

Session information

I have attached the planning to this email so you can see what the 3 weeks will look like. Whilst the focused activities are on, there will also be areas set up with various other activities for children to do.

Due to the larger amounts of numbers, I will be setting up a KS1 and a KS2 class specifically tailored to these year groups. Children can move around into each class/area, this is primarily to accommodate all ages and allow more space for children to play. I have quite a few reception children booked in this time so I would like to ensure they have the space they need with their own age group. All children will have access to a shared area in the KS2 area and will have the freedom to move around. Outdoors and the hall will be where we carry out our focussed activities and are all together.

There are currently 40-60 children in each session.

The provision runs from 8am - 5.30pm.

Clothing

Your children can come to holiday provision dressed in anything they like. If they want to come in fancy dress, they definitely can! Some days we may decide to just get the hose out and get our feet wet and/or fill some tuff trays for wet pay, so I would recommend sending them in with clothes on that you are happy they come home wet in or a change of clothes for after.

If you feel there may be any reason your child may need a spare set of clothes, could you please bring this in with them in a bag. I would kindly ask that you do not send them in with any personal belongings/toys as we will have plenty, want to make it fair to all children and don't want to be responsible for any damage.

Food

We will provide children breakfast should children want something when they arrive. This will be a variety of cereal, toast, crumpets, pancakes and fruit.

You must provide your child with lunch so please send your child in with a lunch box and a water bottle.

We run a tuck shop for 30 minutes in the morning and afternoon. Children do not need to pay for this, this forms part of our daily snacks. This is child led and taken in turn. This is a variety of rice cakes, crackers, fruit, the occasional biscuit and a drink of squash. The children learn many skills running the tuck shop; allowance management, health and safety, food hygiene and they build their confidence through serving/socialising.

What we need from you

Please bring a water bottle and sun hat. We don't know what the weather will look like but please send your child in with sun cream on and in their bag (labelled) just in case.

If your child has any medical conditions or allergies that we need to be made aware of, please let us know by completing the information requested on the registration form above, or email me directly. If your child attends our school, we will have this information anyway, but it would be good to have that double check.

Staffing

I will be in covering all week and to put anyone's mind at rest, I have a degree in education, a diploma in leadership, paediatric first aid level 3 and emergency first aid at work, food hygiene and allergy training, designated safeguarding officer and a senior leader in school. I appreciate the school will be closed to all other staff but I want to reassure you that I have all the qualifications and experience required to run the provision.

We will also have working with us Mrs Hall, Miss Nesta, Miss Mair and Miss Cluer throughout various days of the week. All of which have first aid, child protection training, qualifications and many years experience working with children between them. And more importantly, will inject lot's of nurture and fun for all your children. We really have a fab team put together for our holiday provision ðŸ™‚

Contact info

In the event of you needing to contact me, please email avine@kingskerswell.devon.sch.uk or telephone 07566790028.

Payment

You will receive email and text notification with payment requests. You will be able to log into the app and check what sessions you have booked but please feel free to email me if you would like to check.

Payment needs to be made in full on School Money by the date set unless otherwise discussed. Failure to make payment will result in your child not being able to attend. The fees paid by parents/carers cover the staffing and resources only, it is a very tight budget.

We do accept voucher and government tax free payments. Please ensure these payments are made in advance so we can see cleared payments. Depending on which system you use, we may need you to send us proof of payment, such as; reference number, date and payment amount.

I think that just about covers it but if I have forgotten something, please let me know.

Thank you ðŸ™‚

Kind regards
